Dear Senators and Presidential-hopefuls Obama and Clinton:
You've got your wish. Edwards is bowing out, so it's now a two-horse race for the Democratic nomination. Right before Super Tuesday, too.
But while you're chasing the golden carrot, please try to remember that each and every time you tear each other down and distort your opponent's character, record, experience, readiness to lead, leadership skills, goals and dreams for our once-but-could-be-great-again country, you're only widening a growing gap in the Democratic party. And if you keep widening that gap, the eventual Republican nominee might just walk right through it and into the White House come November.
And that is the very last thing our country needs. Or the world, for that matter.
So play nice, dammit.

I love the idea of the Global Presidential primary, but for some reason, DAUK is having trouble registering me to vote online. So, I will miss out on the primary, which is probably just as well, since i have no idea which one I want.
I was thinking about this the other day. In the race for the nomination, I expect a higher degree of forbearance than I do in the actual election: I expect the individual candidates to place the good of the party ahead of their personal desire for the nomination. So why would it seem less likely to me that the parties would place the good of the country ahead of the fate of their own party?
I wish he wasn't bowing out. I think he was a solid choice. I don't know who I'm leaning towards now.
I think they did listen! Debate was pretty civil!
If he's still on the ballot in Virginia, I'm voting for Edwards. I am disgusted by the behavior of the other two, and I am disgusted by an electorate and press that are so busy going on about "the first" that they're willing to take style over substance.
I'd love to see a non-WASP male, or a woman, WASP or not become president. But neither of the two we have up there has done anything lately to make me want to vote for them!
